RECOMMENDED SIZES

Selecting the correct FoilX paddle size is important (email us any questions or send us. a chat message) and depends on various factors - like experience, board size, weight, height and conditions.

Choosing a larger blade is recommended for flat water conditions (great for PUPS), while windy conditions and small foils may require a smaller blade for faster paddling. For surfing, a smaller blade can also be effective. Less experienced paddlers should opt for a larger blade, while more experienced ones can handle a smaller blade with ease. Keep in mind that our blades are specifically designed for foiling and have been upsized accordingly. To make it easy use the table below as a guide and select your blade size based on weight. Quick tips: 

• Head height is great 
• If unsure or new to paddling consider adding 1-2 inches (2.5-5cm), especially for higher volume boards. 
• Also, keep in mind your paddle can easily be shortened as needed with hot glue. 

Shaft Flex / Stiffness Recommendations

Finding the right shaft for your paddle length and weight is important. The flex number plays a key role, with lower numbers indicating a stiffer paddle. Taller and heavier paddlers require a stiffer shaft, while smaller and lighter paddlers benefit from more flex. Keep in mind your paddle height and weight when selecting the length and stiffness of your shaft. It's important to find the perfect balance, as the best shaft is not always the stiffest one.
